Just added! The first in a new series on local ''good'' model shops. If you have a good local hobby or model shop near you, take some pics, tell us about the shop and what''s good about it and get it written about here!

This is my local shop and I have to say it's an absolute wonder. I daren't go near it at the moment because my stash is already bigger than I feel comfortable with!!

Well worth a couple of hours drive for any modeller in the UK though. There is also a pretty good art shop further up the road for craft type supplies.

What a great thread!
I would love spend an hour (and a small fortune) in that shop.

Nice place to spend money! There is also a decent shop in Ramsgate if my memory serves.

Great Idea Vinnie, good model shops like this are very rare these days. The best thing about this is that it aint that far from me so I will be going soonest. Let me know the next time you are heading that way, we could meet up
I will drop into my local shop and see about taking some pics. It's not like the Halifax shop, far from it but it is a model shop and I buy my Tamiya and Revell kits from there. I haven't yet bought a Trumpeter kit but when the Wellington finally arrives there'll be one waiting for me.

I was at Halifax Modellers World today to stock up on some supplies. The guy there said he'd seen the article on Armorama and as he knew I was a member here and had done a similar report for A-UK he gave me 10% off.

That's a nice little HOBBY shop; I think the store had a few contest winner's that where built.

Happy Modeling
