OK, pardon the stupid question from the armour/artillery noob, but why are these kits worth so much? I am referring to the all white metal kits Gunze has available.

I'm not complaining, as I recently made a tidy profit selling a LeFH18 Howitzer kit, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out why the kit commanded such a high price tag in the first place.

Would anyone care to enlighten me?

Thanks for your time.

Well, at the time GS came out with these kits, nothing like them existed.

They included indy tracks, brass and white metal bits, PE and very interesting subjects. The costs to make them were pretty high I'd guess.
