For those of us lucky enough to have caught Joss Whedon's Sci-Fi series 'Firefly'(The "Greatest show nobody watched"), our wait is soon over! 'Serenity', the feature film based on the series,will begin showing at midnight ESTin select theatres. I'm going to hit it with SWMBO :-)8 tomorrow (Sept 30) @ 1330 EST. Some lucky few have had prescreenings: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/ and the advance press is good!
So, anybody looking for a sci-fi fix with excellent characterization, witty dialog, and edge of your seat entertainment, PLEASE go check this out!
I'm hoping for a series of these films, or even a return of the show!(I've watched my DVD set so many times, I can quote them in my sleep )

Let's get on out there & support some fun, positive, & Intelligent Entertainment, Shall we?

OH, and for those who disagree with my assesment of 'Firefly', I welcome your (Reasoned) responses to this thread. Also hope to hear some well stated reviews of the Movie (Positive or Negative, as long as you can be civil).

My wife is a devote Whedonite having been a Buffy, then Angel, and Firefly fan. I watched the show too and loved the characters and dialog. The preview trailers for this really look great too. Anyways we *will* be going tomorrow night for opening day. I will have one excited SWMBO on my hands. :-)

Not having caught the Firefly series the first time through I am staying home to catch the next ep. I will be headed to see the big screen version very soon.

I liked the show, but they always put it on at a bad time, when the other big name shows were on. That is what killed it.

I was sad to see that show go, I had a huge crush on Kaylee.......

Time to see if I can get away with parking my big rig at a movie theater :-) :-) Hopefully I'll get a chance to watch this movie

I have had no prior exposure to any of the above with the exception of the trailer - that alone brought me to the theather on Friday Night 9/30. The movie was very good. No regrets here - go see it.

No idea about the show or really anything about the movie, but I'm bored so I guess I will go see it for the helluva it.

Ok...that movie pretty much rocked! You don't need to know anything to enjoy it.
