Hi all,
First of all, my condolence to your and your family Sil.
As for the meeting, i'm ok with either venue, but if it's at MV, then has to be before 12 pm on weekends. If not the traffic is a killer.

If we are gonna have it in MH, we got to do it on Sunday mornings to cater for modellers that are working Sat. By next Tue, we will decide on one of the venues below:-
A. HHQ - 8 Oct 2005, 1200hr onwards till ... 1600hr
B. MH - 9 Oct 2005, 1000hr onwards till 1300hr
In the mean time, please vote.

...actually i don't mind either A or B as long as we get as many members in as possible..... but personally i would prefer option A: HHQ - 8 Oct 2005, 1200hr -1600hr !

btw i'm taking annual leave from monday to wednesday next week... so guess i'll be off the 'net at those times.

Sunday would be nice as it wouldn't be too much of a rush but MidValley parking is murderous. I'd prefer HHQ as I can take the LRT but it will be 1500 hr or more before I get there as I only get home from S'ban only by around 1400 +++ hr.
Either way is fine but I'd prefer HHQ option if everybody doesn't mind staying later.

It sounds like HHQ seems to be a favorable spot. Just got a call from MoJimbo, and he prefers HHQ also.
Beachbum, is there a reason why you need to go home first? I am only asking because it would be nearer if you travel from Seremban to HHQ directly. Hope my question doesn't upset you.

No worries Argrillion. It doesn't upset me at all. I go home first for 2 reasons. One is that its closer to go home first rather than down directly to KL coz I use the Putrajaya Cyberjaya highway and exit at Kajang toll instead of Sg. Besi.
Second it'll probably be safer for me if I don't bring my model to work. All the models I've built todate are on dios and aren't too portable. So to minimize traveling time I'll pick them up on my way back from work.
I'll have to apologize as I will be late and likely to reach Ampang by 1500++++hr at best.

Now that's someone we haven't heard from for quite some time. How're things over there? Any new builts to share with us?
Too bad we have this distance issue. Are there any active groups in Kuching?

Hi everyone,
Thanks Argrillion for the invitation to SnT Oct. Would love to join you guys on the 8th. Can't really promise as I may have to babysit my 1 year old.
So it'll be at HHQ (City Square) at around 2pm?

The modelling here in kch is terrible, all shops selling modelling stuffs are either closed or switched business. There is currently no groups that i have heard of, but i'm currently learning from a more exprienced friend.
My new builts are a few figures...german nightjagers and KMT soldiers. There is also an F-16 in progress. I'll post some pics once i get hold of a camera.
I was at HHQ last July on transit from Lumut. I met someone (i forgot the name..

) during that time who was working on a trumpter vigilante, was it you, Argrillion?

Yep! Our SnT session is on for SAT 8 Oct 2005 at 1400hr. The venue is City Square Food Court.
Adrian, bring along your kid for the SnT; it doesn't matter. In fact, my family will join me for the Dec SnT if it is held in Mid Valley Exhibition Centre.

Sorry Ken, that wasn't me. Haven't build any planes for almost a year now. Currently, busy doing a bit of modern armours.

What do you think of the Trumpeter Vigilante? MH has this plane in a big box for 1/48th scale.

Must be another person. Dunno about the 1/48 scale, the one that he got was a 1/72. But trumpter kits are quite good nowadays, i have a 1/72 J-10 and well... i think it's better than italeri kits.

The comments for the latest Trumpeter FW200C-4 Condor in Tamiya Magazine is average. I got one of the Su's from Trumpeter, and the dimensions are a little bit off. I am just wondering whether Trumpeter are good for their airplanes but they seem to be catching up in armours.
Ken, coming down to KL end of the year?

Trumpter's mold for their newer aircraft kits(judging from my J-10) looks good but i have yet to try the fittings. It should be better or on par with italeri but definitely much better than Zhendengfu.
Dunno when will my next trip to KL will be? It won't be this year as i have made 3 trips kl this year.

Sorry to hear that Ken. Let's hope you get your camera soon, and we can see some progess works of yours. Did you get the 1/32nd F-16? Which one is better - Academy or Tamiya?
My first 1/32nd scale plane is half-built. It's a MIG-29 from Revell. Lot's of cutting done and I am expecting quite a bit of filling also.

Argrillion,
I couldn't answer that as 1/32 is way out of my league.
I only have 2 X 1/48 but lots of 1/72.
You planning to buy the a 1/32 F-16?
I'm actually waiting for the airfix 1/72 TSR2 to be released.

The 1/32nd F-16 is very tempting but I am holding on as I just spent quite a bit to get a SU-27. Another beautiful Russian plane to accompany my MIG 29.
Aha! You are a 1/72nd builder I see. Well that's not surprising as in KL we have lots of 1/72nd plane builders. In fact WW I planes are making a come back.
Hmm! What is a TSR2? HHQ just brought in some Airfix kits recently. I am not sure they have this kit.

Yep, i'm a small scale modeler for aircraft but i'm on 1/35 for armour and figures. My friend been bugging me to switch to 1/48 but ah... i'll have to master airbrush skills first. The Su-27 will be a good choice and wait, as F-16s are available anytime, anywhere.
The BAC TSR2 was designed in the late 1950s, first flown in 1962(I think). Most advanced strike aircraft of it's day but was cancelled by british politicians. I don't know the model is out yet or not, i'll have to check with low..
well, silantra, i was kinda busy for the last few months, travelling to kl, lumut, miri, and also the ever present project datelines... but if u're in kch next time, let me know, i'll bring you for dinner but don't expect me to bring you to model shops here as they're non-existent.

Thanks to Target_J, MoJimbo, Beachbum and Alpha7 (a quick visit), we had a larger attendance for Oct SnT. Unfortunately, no one brought the camera, duh!
Details coming soon (radar picking up boss presence nearby :-) !
