Today the wife and I visited Yorkshire Air Museum. (It's an excellent place to visit if you get the chance.) In the Air Gunners display there is a chance to try out your air to air gunnery. You sit behind a Lewis gun and fire at attacking Bf110s that appear on a screen in front of you.

The wife suggested I show her my skills so I gave it a go. I scored 40 hits (50 is classed as good). Then the wife tried it. She got 72 hits! I had another go ang only got 32 hits! Not only did I show how useless I am but the wife won't stop mentioning how she beat my score quite easilly!!!!! I think the thing must have been faulty, how could someone with bad eyesight and stumpy little legs beat me, a six footer with a killer's eye?

Martin, don't think badly of yourself. Women have a natural affintiy to shooting down men. You should have told her they were being flown by female pilots!

Give her the gun and you take the ball bat..... :-) :-)

I've noticed that women and guns are sometimes like kids and fishing. You hand a woman a gun, who's never shot one before in their life and they'll put it in the center everytime. Kid's, hand them a fishing pole and it's like every fish in the lake is waiting in line for their hook....I think we overthink everything.
