Hi guys and gals,
I just need your opinion and advice on this one.
You see, I applied for a job that I really like....a copywriter for a publishing service provider. I am really interested in this job and I think the benefits and the salary are very competititve.
I have passed their exam and three interviews. The fourth one was conducted last night. The interviewee was the director of Human Resources.
I don't know why but I got intimidated by the interviewer. My answers to her questions were okay but I thought I could have done better. Now, I have a nagging feeling that I won't be called for another interview. I think I did a bad job and I'm very disappointed with myself.
She told me to wait for their call. In the Philippines, this means a 50/50 chance of being called again or being rejected.
Now, I need your opinion. I decided to wait for one week for that call. If not, is it all right if I go to the company and follow up my application? In case I get rejected, is it all right if I re-apply again for the job in another month or so?
I'm quite concerned that if I do that, people in that company might label me as pathetic and "trying too hard" to get employed.
Thanks.
Angela

Angela, I think your best course of action and incidently, the perfectly proper thing to do is to contact the company and ask for feedback on your interview. Most prospective employers are only too happy to give you this information and it also shows that you are taking steps to make sure you get the job next time. They'll remember this!

Hi Angela!
First I hope you'll get the job!
As I passed my tests to be a Teacher I didn't expected to be successfull the last try... but I was! I didn't even worked for that like I did in the previous attempts! So don't be to concerned about your feelings. The opinion that matters is the one of the Human Resources Manager after all! She (it was a women?) can even think it is positive that your were intimidated because this shows you are respecting the hierarchy... these people are taking everything in consideration and it's very hard to find the right way to act. Maybe beeing to sure and confortable is a negative point for some jobs...
Anyway, even if I don't have enough experience in job interviews, I would call them after a while to see if the job is still available... the worst you could have is a negative answer but at least you would know! In the other case, it would show them you are still interested and motivated for the job. I can't imagine that is a negative reaction... but this is only my opinion.
To finish, and I hope it won't end that way, if you don't get the job, don't take it to personnaly! It's "only" for a particular job, it's not because you are not a good person or you are not qualified! Human Resources Managers are also humans and they also do mistakes!

It's normal to think you could have answered the questions better after the interview however like Vinnie says it cant do no harm to ask for feedback from the interview

I submitted a few write-ups (articles) to their marketing manager who requested me to submit some samples.
She sent mean email that she received it and she will keep it for future reference.
What does this mean? Does this mean that I was rejected?
It's been two days since the last interview (which I think I did poorly) but the company hasn't called me yet. I'm getting very anxious and jittery.
If ever I get rejected, is it all right to apply again?
Thank you.

Angela I spent 13 years interviewing people about jobs- ask for feedback in a few days, also if you do miss this opportunity (and you have done very very well to get this far) ask for the firm to keep you on their list and you would love any oppunity to show your ability- will probabably score brownie points- stay positive angela - you WILL get this job just have patience
