Did the RSO with scratchbuilt snowblower show up?
How'd it do?

Sure did! First place. No surprise there. Myself, my Leopard 2A6 placed 2nd.

Not a bad show, I was unable to enter anything as I had to be in Central Mass in the early afternoon. It was good to see the other "Big A" members there and to finally meet Sticky.

Congrats to all!

I went to the show also, I had a great time. I met some folks there that post on the Armorama forum, Al Lafleche had Ron Harrison take a picture of us all that I hope to see soon on the forum here.

I entered a figure that I started on Tues this week and thanks to the people that judged the over 65mm and above category I took a first place. I was shocked because it was only my fith piece in 15 years!

I thought here was plenty of vendors for the size of the room, enough to keep me busy for the day lets put it that way. Everyone seemed very friendly, which is another reason why I like to get out of the house to attend shows like this. The ride was uneventfull, no traffic, over all, a great day that has left me suffering in pain today (i'm a handicapped person with back issues)... but so worth it. I can't wait for Amps next weekend!

Good show.. although didn't seem to be as many entries as teh past.. and lighting wasn't great for pictures..

But it was easy to get to!.. Also it was great to get to meet Sticky and his kits in person

Dave, sorry we missed you.. I wasn't there long, cause the boys were antsy (short attention span)...

Boy that RSO snow blower, was really cool!!

I'll try and post some pictures later.. but like I said with the lighting they weren't that good...

Armorama was well represented at Patcon’s awards ceremony this week.

John (Sticky) Steinman took first in dioramas with his 1/48 Stug II which he displayed here earlier this summer. His 1/35 Schwimwagen took a second only because a scratchbuilt RSO based snowthrower showed up. Tankcarl’s KV II was the OOB winner in WWII Armor. Gian (Monte) Montecalvo took second with his Leopold. Jody (Wolf Leader) Kelm was third in the smaller figure category with a Panzer officer. John (EasyOff) Boilard was surprised with a first in the larger scale figure class with a 200mm bust of a 3rd NJ Cavalry trooper which he was finishing as I arrived to carpool with him. I took two firsts for my Moment in Time vignette (vignettes) and 10 inch seacoast mortar, (ordnance) a second for my Wild Bill Hickock (smaller figures)and third for a just finished Apache on horseback (mounted figures).

Here is the Armorama crew at the end of the day. Tuna had been here earlier but left before we posed for the picture.

Sorry I missed you Charlie. Besides having to be somewhere, we had to leave because William's pain meds were wearing off. "Gimpy" spent the last half hour we were there sitting with his leg up.

Who is going to GraniteCon in October?

Looks like you guys had fun. Too bad I'm not local any more. There were so many local shows in the central New England area.

You'll want to add Noreastcon, the IPMS Region 1 Convention next spring. It's going to be in Marlboro MA 19-20 May 2006 at the Radisson. (Oh, yeah, they got good food there). It's being put on by the same guys who od Patcon, Granitecon, Baycon and Valleycon (Chicopee) so you know you're in for a treat.

And one local-yokel-non-club-member who's offered to help out seeing that I live about 6mi from the Radisson.
