Since only those who have recently been in the Indiana education system know what ISTEP is, I will elaborate for those wondering what Max is talking about. ISTEP is basically Indianas standardized high school testing. It is a requirement to pass this test your sophomore year in order to graduate high school in Indiana.
As for the job shadowing of the military, the closest thing I can think of is JROTC if you school has it. Technically even that isn't job shadowing! Job shadowing can only be done with groups that have job shadowing.
Max whereabouts in Indiana are you living? I ask only because maybe I can help look for something military related in the area. Museum, etc. Unfortunately, outside of the military itself, there isn't much military-related work places in Indiana.
Best of luck finding a job, they aren't easy to come by.

Thanks Jeff for the explanation, I was wondering what Max was talking about. New requirements since the stone age of my high school days. ( my graduation requirement was making a stone ax.)
Good luck on the job search Max.

Max,
Is the job shadowing just a one day deal? I may be able to hook you up with someone at the armory. Not sure but I can check into it.
Shaun
EDIT a few minutes later:
Max,
I did some checking and there is an E7 at the armory that would be more than happy to have you down there for the day. Send me a PM and I will see what we can work out. I will probably just get you his name and work phone number and you two can work out the details.

I got to do a 1day job shadowing with a construction crew once when I was in school.
Sadly it wasn’t very fun. The day I went they did shingling. I got to sit on the roof and watch them. And carry a few bundles of shingles around.

Any way military sounds a lot better.
I hope every thing works out for you.
Have lots of fun.
