Hi there,

Sicne I will be packing up and leave UK in a few months time. Just want to check with you guys what are the stuffs relating to modelling e.g. kits, adhesive, paints, tools ..etc. that are hard and rare in Malaysia modelling shop?

I mainly do 1/72 AFV also 1.35 AFV & 1/144 Airplane.

Just want to build up the list of MUST HAVE before I head home.

Most modelling supplies are within reach in Malaysia thanks to the webstores. However, you might want to check out some modelling tools like punch-and-dies, MIG pigments, Vallejo, reference books and Flightpath PE (if you are in 1/48th scale aircraft) while you are in UK. I don't think you would need to bring / ship common consumables like solvent, cement or putty. They are available here.

Well enjoy packing and we are looking forward to meet you in our SnT's.

Best that Ikoky stick with European supplies. At least he can save on shipping cost in pounds and euros.

Ikoky, I forgot. Besides Vallejo there is Andreas Miniatures. They have quite a bit of collection in figures, paints and reference books. Andreas has some books on figure painting and of course, paint sets for figure and face painting.

Boss Sil, your friend masih di Singapura ke? Yesterday very busy and internet line not stable. Did not manage to see your post on time.

A bottle of vallejo paint (17ml) cost around 1.40 pound, and vallejo air (17ml) for aribrush cost around 1.70 pound

Yeah I do need some plastic sheet, miniature chain etc.. they are not cheap in UK either

Still remember when I was in KL early this year, had a hard time looking for a bottle of Tamiya matt black. Not a single one in KL, evetually found one in Penang

I with the guys as to modelling tools and such Ikoky. To add to that you might want to get some of the rarer models before you come back. Too bad your'e not much into dios coz they're several interesting products and accessories you can't get here and ordering them online costs too much. One of them is Heki grass and some of the doll house accessories if they're the right scale would make excellent urban dios, cheaper if I'm not mistaken than buying those from Verlinden and other resin makers.

The exchange rate is still pretty bad for us. Anyway have a good and safe trip and Take care.

I second that,,
indeed Heki grass is another possibility. So Ikoky, we want to have some Vallejo paints and Heki grass as well, Just let us know when you're going to get them..perhaps we can arrange the details when the time come..
and Ikoky, as for the link that you gave, it's cheap but if including postage, it would be about rm14 per bottle ..this is after deducting 17.5% VAT..
