Dutch Arrow Rock Radio

Fed up with all those UK Radio Stations that just chat constantly all day! Me too, until I found the Dutch Arrow Rock Radio, they play constant 1960, 70’s & 80’s stuff all day and night. There are very few adverts and an hourly news bulletin update - but these are the only interruptions.

Frequency is AM675 ON medium Wave.

Hi John!

You have found an real treasure: Arrow Rock rules!
There is no subsitute!

It's a good thing to hear Arrow finds the hearts of those on the other site of the channel!
But unfortunatly, as an independent radio station against all the commercial big ones, they only transmit AM...
Luckely I have them on 'the cable' in FM stereo, but recieving it AM in the car is

For all the Jazz lovers: there is an Arrow Jazz Radio, transmitting both AM and FM.

Paul (we need a rock emoticon!)

Ola John

Indeed Arrow is one of the best radiostations of Holland. And They still broadcast over the old 675 AM frequency
Because Arrow didn`t get an FM frequency in Holland another radio station decided to take over all the songs Arrow has and broadcast them as a rock station instead of the normal "regular charts"station it was. The improved radio station is called City FM
City FM
The site is in Dutch but on the left is a link so you can listen to the broadcast.
The station has DJ`s yes and a bit more talk then Arrow has but then again you have the pleasure of listening to 60`s, 70`s, 80`s and 90`s rock. Probably this information is more usefull at the moment for Dutch Listeners as I don`t know if the Radio is available in the UK but you can listen to it at the Internet.

I intend to check this out, just waiting till 9am 'classic rock'. It's always good to have something decent to listen to here at work, and decent net radio saves me the bother of trying to find a cd (I work in a space where I am able to listen to music/radio).
Meanwhile here's a link for all those who like a bit of the less mainstream sounds:

the freakzone
Unfortunately it's only on once a week, but thanks to the marvels of t'internet ...
