A long time ago I read instructions somewhere on how to make your own decalsetting solution, using simple household vinegar (for cleaning, not for cooking). I think you had to thin it down to about 10%, but I can't remember it exactly and neither do I remember where I read this article. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I have used distilled vinegar for an emergency stand in with no ill effects.i do use it at full strength,though.Dilluting it may be o.k but,I wouldn't dillute it that much.Also,in the armor talk forum under the topic of glossy decals,I gave a tip on glossless decal setting(for flat coated models).HTH

What do you mean by distilled vinegar? Did you distill it to INCREASE the concentration of the acetic acid? Or is that just the name of the product?
May sound like a silly question, but here in Europe a lot of things have different names than over in the US.
