Ola People

Well Some of you might remember my last post here in the Junk drawer called "I only want to vent about my weird weekend" which can be found under This link
Well Since the poster action we have had 1 Phonecall of somebody telling us the day after the sick cat ran away that he saw the cat fleeing in one direction. And that was the last thing we heard from the cat. Today I had helped some people out at a party of the local Soccerclub and they were in desperate need for a bartender. I said I could help them out and so I did. When at 00:00 the party ended at the soccerclub I went to another bar in our village and my sister was there working behind the bar and she told me the good news that the missing cat returned home and in pretty good health too for a cat that missed any form of needed medication for a weel long.
I really can`t say how happy I am with this fact. You guys and gals might even know that I`m typing this message with tears in my eyes from happyness. I gently cuddled the cat ( she still is suffering from the accident she had last week) And (how pathetic that may sound) welcomed her home. And I`m going to make sure she will not escape again. It is the second time she had an Accident so she is at life #7 now.

There is absolutely no way of telling how happy I am then to post this. I want to thank you all for responding to the earlier post about the events happened and by sticking me another heart under the belt. To tell you the truth after 4 days the hope that she would return was not really there anymore. We were thinking of the worst case scenario. In the past I have already dug a Grave for a very beloved cat and I`m pretty sure it is not going to be a hobby of mine.

With a smile and a tear of Happyness I greet and thank you all

I'm glad your cat came home. Your cat proberly found a warm, safe place to bed down for a few days and recover. My cat done the same thing for 2 days before i could get him down the vets.
Now you will have to ground her, and good luck with trying to keep her in the house :-) .

I am really happy for you Robert. I know how you feel. Today my 14 y/o dog came home from the vet. She had 3 tumors removed thursday and we were so sure we would lose her. She is doing great, even eating well. I haven't got the bill yet, but it's worth every cent.
Every day I get to spend with her is truly a gift.
So, we can share a wonderful day, my friend.

As a fellow cat lover, i was so sad to hear about your kitty's accident and escape. I'm very glad she's home again to get the treatment she needs. gentle hugs and chin scratches for the wee kittums.

I remember when our cat Elvis came home looked like he had done three rounds with a werewolf , he's the most anti social s.o.b. Ive ever met but i was really upset seeing him so torn up. He's ok now still attacks me when I go out in the garden.Know how you feel Robert glad it had a happy ending.

Some cats are like that, you think it's YOUR cat,it thinks you're just the two-legger that feeds it at home base of ops!

Been there, done that. And felt just as relieved when they came home none the worse for wear. As to the welcoming her, nothing wrong with that at all.

Finally a story with a happy ending (begining?) My cats are regular members of the family and I know how traumatized you can get when one disappears (especially when the cat is recuperating from a major vet trip) Keep an eye on the little fellow and thanks for brightening up a rather dismal day here on the left coast.
Cheers,
Charles

Ola Guys

Thanks for the really kind comments here.
As an Update on the cats health. Yesterday the Bandage around her right rear leg was removed. And she got some antibiotics again. Needless to say she was cranky again but at least she walks. She is still carefull with walking and only the future will tell how it all will end. She eats like the end of the world is near and that only is a good sign. If only she would eat the food with the medicines in it instead of the food of our other cat Puma (who now receives a daily treathment of Antibiotics)
With all the scars and stitches Hetzge now has a nickname in the family as we now jokingly call her the Cat of Frankenstein

Thanks again for the nice Comments also on the earlier thread about the cats accident and escape.

Robert,
thanks goodness the cat is okay.
i had a cat sometime ago...lots of them ..they're 17 of them now and breeding fast!!
but of all of them, only one that i cant forget and still sometimes think of him. It was the cat father! in 1998, i heard cat purring everynight...the 4th night i went for a lookup and found the cat (still at his youngster age) at the back of 12 floor apartment. I live in the 17th floor. the apartment was vacant..i dont know who this cat belong to.. so i have to take a 10' wood to make the bridge so that the cat can cross over to the alley... it was a tough effort to force a hunger and scared cat to climb the bridge,,,after 2 hours, he made it,...take him home...give him food...bath etc..etc.. named him Qabus (means handsome in arab)... after a year i think he's boring living alone..so i get him a partner..a white persian female ..named Putih (white in Malay)...she died 3 months later giving birth to 2 kitten..the kitten died shortly... this is frustating... get another partner..a lot more younger ..named Mary...she's a grey persian...so cute..
finally in 1st January 2000 (the first day of the new milenium), she gave birth to 4 good looking kitten... 1 boy and 3 girls...the boy named cyber, the girls name Combat (she got nice cammo), y2k and Qabus Jr.
we was so happy welcoming the new members...
later i moved to another house....not an apartment but a double storey link house...
3 months later Qabus escaped...2 days later he got back home...after staying a few hours..he escaped again..this time it's for good...it was some &^%%% who opened the door...we're having some late party..all of us were playing cards and playstation as well....never realised he's missing untill i wake up the next morning...
i search in the area but nobody saw him...that was the last time i heard of him...
now the 4 kid were breeding...

although all of them not living with me anymore, i occasionaly visited them....and everytime i watch their faces, i remember Qabus and how i rescued her in 1998...

reading your story made me think back to the good times i had with my cat...

take good care of her Robert...
