Broke the blade still in the handle. It's all the way down to the collar. Any ideas how to get it out? I can't seem to be able to turn that release without any leverage

Wrap some masking tape around the jaws on a set of pliers maybe... Might get it loose for you...

What kind of handle do you have? Is it the Surgical style Handle or is it the Handle that you need to turn at the end to secure the blade.
In the first case it actually should be dead easy to get it out with some brute force.
In the second case I believe it should be possible to turn the Top end with which you secure the blade off and with a needle or something thin (Another exacto blade) to use as a lever to get it out.

It's the second type. There is some kind of collar that tightens around the blade. Because the blade is completely missing I have nothing to leverage the collar

Pliers or channel locks, you may need one to hold the handle, and one to turn the collar.

I ended up snapping the screw off the mount. Oh well. Good thing I have 3 handles

Tough one ,Alan. You might have gotten a dot of CA on the threads or a little galling action happened.Give the threads of your other handles a swipe with a bar of soap to try and keep a repeat from happening.Couldn't hurt.
