Just got this idea this morning when reading an article on the replacement of the Leopard tank in canadian army. It may be interesting to see what kind of vehicles you guys may imagine in service in canadian army. This may apply to softskin and armor. This is an opportunity to break the "by the book" rules and use your imagination to create or transform an existing vehicle to "canadian specs"

What do you think?

I like the idea.

I have always wanted to do a Canadian M-60A1 in the OD/Olive Green/Black cam pattern.

Or an upraded 'Patturion' Centurion with M-60 engine, reactive armour, long range fuel tank, and mine rollers...and the three colour modern NATO cam colours.

Others I have entertained for Canadian subjects:

M1A1 with mine rollers (UN white)..serving with UNPROFOR, RCD

Leopard 2A5 ( UN white or desert tan) ...UNPROFOR, 12 RBC and OIF, LdSH(RC)

Marder MICV (desert tan) Gulf War 1991, RCR and OIF, PPCLI

Challenger 1&2 (NATO three colour)...Germany, 8CH

Weisels (desert tan)...Gulf War 1991, LdSH(RC), Recce Sqn for 20 mm, and RCR, Anti-Armour Platoon for TOW

Luchs (UN white)....UNPROFOR, 12 RBC, Recce Sqn

Scimitar(three colour cam)....Germany, 8CH Recce Sqn

AAV7( UN white, and marked as the notional RCMR...Royal Canadian Marines Regiment)

Leclerc(UN White), UNPROFOR, 12 RBC

T-72M1 and BMD-2(UN white and NATO colours...maybe there was a change of direction in the Cold War)...Germany, 8CH and Canadian Airborne Regiment, Somalia

Centurion AVRE (UN white) UNPROFOR, 1 CER

What I imagine we'll see in service at this rate is the entire Canadian mob ile force being based on a dog sled pulled by two dogs shared by the three squads that make up the Canadian Army. If course one of the dogs is deadlined because of lack of replacement traces...

Cynical? ME??? Naw...

Only if each of the squads has at least one Major-General and Command Cheif Warrant Officer though.
