Maybe I can talk SWMBO into letting me attend some of those shows!

Thanks for posting the list Al.

Looks like I'll be making Patcon, and Granitecon for sure and probably Baycon too. I won't be going to AMPS East as NHIS for the Nextel Cup race is the 18th.

Thanks for the list Al.

I should almost definitely be able to attend Baycon but as of now I am not sure about Patcon.

It's now "Official"......

Pvt Parts, and myself will be attending AMPSEAST.
We will be easy to spot......
Pvt Parts will be the one wandering around aimlessly, wearing the Armorama T-Shirt...... I'll be the old fart in the corner in the folding rocking chair, dozing off most of the day....... :-) :-)
Remember I'm use to sleeping day time, awake night time....... :-) :-)
After Amps, we will head north, and attend the airshow on Sunday at Old Rhienbeck.

I was wondering about the idea of holding some of the above shows on a Sunday. To me this is as bright as a 25 watt light bulb. By holding a show on a Sunday, you are almost guarenteed a "local" turnout. Anyone who has to drive more than a couple of hours won't attended. Seems kinda self limiting if you ask me.

John, this was the first year Patcon was on a Saturday. AMPS has been on Saturday since I've been aware of it. Almost all the other shows have traditionally been on Sundays. Our spring show, on a Sunday and sometimes even Palm Sunday, brings people from as far away as Plattsburg NY and Portland ME. We typically have 120+ entrants and rival the regional event in numbers of models most years. It really does not hurt attendance. This was Patcon's lowest attendance level in the 15 years I've been going after showing some serious growth last year. Of course, events conspired, gas was climbing, they had a new site, a new day and a new weekend.
