Hobbyco like hobbyrama here in brisbane have large overheads and they support quite a few full time employees -where as the Mailorder places are small- try David at Firestorm he ofter has good mail order sales and I am on his Email list

This is a tough question to answer without more info.

What exactly are you after?
Hobbyco actually are not that bad on price - just thier range is sadly lacking.
In Sydney, have a look at The Toy Soldier shop - orientated towars the war gamers but still has a wide range of white metal 54mm figs.

Further down the road is Astro models and then in china town another model shop with an ok range.
Let us know what your after

If your after standard plastic kits Tamiya Dragon etc Hobby HQ and Frontline are the cheapest by far, If you can get to Melbourne for the model expo in June Hobby HQ has everything on sale and hourly super specials for example Tamiya Matilda for $15.00 ! I bought 10 of them

I agree with David ,
Frontline & Hobby Hq for plastic . Himself at Firestorm for the rest . He can get every aftermarket you will need from Aber , Eduard , Voyager & Lion Roar in etch , Hornet & wolf , Verlinden , Warrior , Alpine ,Firestorm (of course )Legends, MIG,Platoon, Tiger Models , Trax ,Fruillmodel,AFV Magazine , Military miniatures in Review etc . Carries a huge range , will get the rest instock for you .

Lucky me has Hobby HQ just 13.5 minute drive up the road... Store is always chocked to the rafters. Unfortunately, much of this is those darn flying contraption kits...

Hey Bradley ,
Glad to hear you got your toilet fixed . :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
You are so lucky living that close to Hobby HQ , say hi to Bill from me & Rich . He has just posted pics of his store on his site . I just love when he posts a new specials list on his site . He often has Tamiya kits that have not been on product lists for over a decade . Sure looks like an impresive shop . Does he carry any aftermarket in store ? Never shows any on his website .

Jenny.
Bill does not keep any after market stuff as he believes that once you start down that path (aftermarket stuff) were do you stop. Thats why he likes businesses like mine, SouthEast Hobbies, to deal in after market items. The range is massive. We deal with 2 of the biggest USA distributors and the range is over 300 lines not to mention the ones that we are Australian distributors for. Bill has sent a many customers our way as well as alot of other shops here in Melbourne because they cannot carry the range.
Thanks
Andrew
