In some of my old "Fine Scale Modeler" magazines from the mid-90s, I have seen adds for "Jim Shirley Productions", wich among other things produced a 120mm M1A1 in resin. I tried to google the company, but with no result. Does any of you know if this company still exist?

I believe they are now defunct since the late 90's.

Yes, they are gone. I heard he took a job w/ Disney (he lived in Florida). I was always interested in his 1/16th Humvee that I never got around to buying before he closed. You would think that someone would have produced a Humvee in this scale. But I think interest in this scale has waned over the last couple of years.

His kits pop up on eBay and on the various modeling sites buy/sell forums. Most go for premium 3-figure prices.
