Hello All, a quick question, Was there Rural Mail Delivery in the Soviet Union in 1941. If so would a farm cottage, have a box at the road, and is so any ideas to what it would look like?

I know a very off the wall question, but any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

John this is a guess but I would say no to the box and rural delivery. I would say most folk picked their mail up from the post office in person.

cheers
Cliff

PS> plus I have never seen a pic with a 'mail box' in it from this era of Russian History
