Rob G. sent me photos 2 years ago that I had sent him of stuff I built in the late 1980s. I recently got a scanner so I put them in my gallery this am as both a reminder to myself of where my skills were 17 years ago, and hopefully as encouragement to others who are working on developing theirs.
It's funny to see how primitave the paint jobs on these kits are (luttle weating, no highlights or sahdows). This is the dark ages before I started using an airbrush (which wasn't until about 1997) when I still painted them by hand or spray paint.

I think I ran across some more of your photos recently. Most of them were taken 88-90. I'll have to dig them up once again.

I've still got stuff I did in the mid 1970's. My collection of Bandai 48th scale German armor. All hand-painted. Surprizing thing, they have gone through 12 moves and while my skills have improved considerable since then, they really don't look all that bad, considering all the repairs that have had to be done.
