Rui,
Please be sure that the type of fan you get is a "squirrel cage" type fan where the exhaust fumes do not flow directly past the electric motor. Should you use any paints that are solvent based you could have a explosive fire hazard if you use a standard exhaust fan with the motor exposed to the fumes/spray.

The other option is a "Brushless" motor which uses ball bearings (no sparking) it's the type calld a "muffin" fan usually found in PC's and other electronics. my booth uses 2 6" dia fans of this type.
