Hello Naval experts, I just started to build my 1/350 Bismarck from tamiya, I would like to know did the ship feature black/white stripes amid the ship after may 18, 41, and before its end? Because from Tamiya's instruction, it says that the ship went to a port call, then has the black/white stripes amid ship erased, and only kept dark sea gray, and black bow/stern paint.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tamiya has it right, the black and white diagonal stripes were painted out.
