Just wondering... did any of you guys did order some of the kits that you couldn't find in Singapore online before?? Which sites did you go to to get them??

I personally feel that there's a lot of risk involved when ordering online. Furthermore, these online shops are usually overseas, therefore they charge in their currency $$.. But to get the type of kit that you want... sometimes there isn't much choice.

Hi Ike,
It's true that there're a lot of kits and conversion sets in the market which is not available in S'pore. Go to any local hobby stores and it's the usual Tamiya , Academy , Trumpeter blar blar...
I do oftenly order my kits online and find that it's very safe, especially if they have secure server. I try not to order from those which require me to email my credit card info though I've done before. Do some study first on their sites before you order.
Here's some of my favourite online sites:

Well thanks Desmond...

I've heard some good reviews on some of the online companies that you got your kits from... But i'll have to agree with you that a lot of research must be done on the company before actually ordering online.

Were the prices of the kits where you got from (those seven links) worth the money?? In Sg $$..

Well , if you're talking about ordering online it is definitely expensive. The shipping cost alone cost about S$15 onwards for kits ship out from Asia ( hobbyeasy, hobbylink Japan ) and slightly more about S$20 onwards if it's from Europe ( Blast models, Panzershop..).
I personally feel that online shops that charges in British pounds and euros will hurt your pocket deeply, especially the shipping cost.
Generally the whole idea is to order kits which you know won't hit S'pore market or else you will be paying double the price you will be paying locally.
Hobbyterra from Ukraine though has very low charges both in kit pricing and shipping and the service is excellent. The price I pay plus shipping is more cheaper than what I see in local hobby stores.
As for shipping time, it usually varies from 5 days to 12days.

Thanks Des... looks like Hobbyterra would be a good choice to get some kits that aren't easily avaliable here. Just that those kits that they're retailing are from ex-USSR companies.. looks like there's a lot of 'homework' to be done before getting them online...
