My wife got an email today that I figure must be a scam. It showed "PayPal" as the sender and was along the lines of "such and such email has been added to your PayPal account. If you have not authorized the addition of this email click here." The link then went to a page that looked exactly like PayPal, with one big exception, the URL had nothing to do with PayPal, or Ebay. She was just about going to enter her PayPal user name and password when I stopped her. We both know enough not to give credit card information over an email like this, but I figure this was a very subtle attempt to get hold of her user name and password.
Has anybody else seen something like this?

Yep, I had an "unauthorized use" scam last night. Report these to Paypal by copying and pasting to their "contact us" link after opening Paypal on yur own.

Never seems to stop amazing me, how every day one of these clowns tries to come up with a new way to scam you.
Any, and all suspected emails should be forwarded to :::
[email protected]
or
[email protected]
Both recommend you forward them unopened.
Alan... they won't... it's up to you to monitor your accounts, and notify them of any problems.
In case no one has ever noticed.....
They always use your proper name, not user name or dear member when they send an official
email about a payment or addition of funds.

Also in Ebay, if you get an official mail it will be in your online messages. If its only to your e-mail, its a fraud.
Ive gotten emails, that my account is going to be suspended, but when I looked at the address they used it was [email protected]. I clicked on the link and it had the real ebay log in page, so I logged in as plasticbaguel and made up a password. That page brought me to apage directly looking for all my credit card details. I just mail these to the [email protected] now.

Hi Rodger & all!
Yes I have received both ebay and paypal spoof emails!
One think for you to notice that the email is a fake is:
It always have to be addressed to you!
Not Dear Paypal Customer
You should forward that email to [email protected]
Once you enter your data on any of these spoof emails/ fake websites you will loose control of your account (money too) so take caution and remember that none of the above mentioned companies will never ask you to give your user and password
