Found a link to an interesting video.  Looks like a bird gets sucked into to the left hand engine during take off.  Also looks like the pilot ejected okay.

This is never very good for a jet engine.  Mind you, it's usually not great for the bird either...
I'm sure there is a video somewhere (someone here will know for sure) of a groundcrewman getting sucked into an engine on a US carrier flightdeck. Amazing thing about it was that he survived! Good story for the grandchildren I suppose

Yeah, but not for the mother watching the footage!
Anyway, with two people in the cockpit, it sounds like the jet was on a student training flight, given how the the one pilot was talking to the other.
