Comments pls? What do u guyz think of the spent cartridges in the last photo?

Note: Ignore the unpainted MG 42 at the corner of the bunker. Forgot to remove it. I think I'll paint it and keep it there.

Hi there
Looks good. Check up the barbed wire. Looks out of scale. Also few drills / cuts on the broken fence posts also may be considered. Kind of rainy look. I like it.

Keep us posted. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there! Welcome to our forum! Nice to see new pple in the forum!!

Thanx for your comments! The 'barb wire' is a bit out of scale, I agree. It's actually some kind of construction work wire to tie things up..I think it'll have to do unless I got the time to make some barb wire of my own..The 'steel posts' can do with a bit of damage..I'll see what i can do..

hey, why don't you introduce yourself to us? Welcome again!

It looks great Mr Psyfool!
Those spent cartridges on the ground looks good... very realistic!

May I ask, what did you use for those "metal beams" and the canvas??

Hello newnikonian!!

The metal beams are from the Tamiya Barricade Set. It's actually those obstacles to stop amphibious landing on the beach, like those seen in Saving Pte Ryan. But instead of constructing them, I separate them up and use as individual posts. As for canvas, it's masking tape...

Innovative... no wonder Diorama making is all about ideas ideas ideas... thanks for clearing that doubt of mine Psyfool... The more I look at your MG nest... the more interesting it looks... I think a bit more touching up and it'll look great. Don't add too many things.. otherwise it'll look very cramped up.. that's what I think lah... haha

Well... hello once again..

I guess it always happens that we might loose interest in modeling for a period of time and then... all of a sudden.. .. the interest comes back again.

Do keep us posted on your T-72..

Great work Psyfool!

The empty shells are an excellent add to this diorama piece.

The barb wires are really nice, how did you do them?

Newnikonian, welcome to our little community over here in the big A!

Thanx Danny! The 'Barb' wire I did not make. It's some kind of construction grade wire to tie things up, I think. I found it somewhere. I'm actually looking for more of such wires, but can't seem to find. However, the guyz in the international forum find it a bit out of scale, which i do agree.

I think they look fine.. personal view
Don't know why they think it isn't of scale... maybe over there their wires are much thinner... :-)

If I have the time, I'll make some scale barb wires. There was a topic abt 'How to make barb wires' previously on this site. I did managed to make it but a bit tedious. But it does look like real scale barb wires.

Hi All

Thanks

Hi Psy

Check out this link. http://rlhobbies.com/cart/prod_detail.php?prodid=PGH6520 May be cheaper in the long run than Barricades Set from Italeri / Tamiya.

I bought one long time back, comes in a roll. But I am not sure whether it was from Pegasus Hobbies. Anyway have a look.

WOW... that whole set of barb wires... haven't seen that before and didn't even expect they will make such kits.

Anyway... here's a picture of the barb wire i scratch built using the tip in Armorama. Hope it helps... as a reference.
