Hi everyone,
Well, i finally created an account! I've been coming to this site for a long time, but because i am not the most hardcore modeler i felt like i shouldn't become active on the site. I was able to go to the IPMS Nationals in Atlanta a week ago and met some great Armoramen (Craig, General Zod, Tsunami, and a fellow Tennessean) who urged me to go ahead and sign up, so after returning to "civilization" i got on the computer and did just that. It's great to now be part of such a friendly organization. I can't promise many posts, unless it's just questions asking for help! But anyway, thanks to those fellas who finally convinced me to join.

Welcome Andrew,
Armorama is for everybody interested in modeling, be they hard core builders, newbees, even rivet counters..
We have possibly the largest, most diverse family of modelers here, and, unlike most other sites, we cover virtualy every disipline of model, Armour, Ships, Figures, SiFi, even Aeroplanes...
:-) :-) :-) .
Cheers
Henk

Hey Andrew!
Good to see you registered here. I hope that we weren't too tough on you at the nationals
It was nice meeting you and I enjoyed our talk too.

Andrew -
Welcome to Armorama. You've already had an opportunity to meet with some outstanding representatives from Armorama and have a good idea of the quality of people this site offers to you to share with. Whatever your area of interest, there's something here for you. The people are absolutely fantastic and unselfishly help, share, support, and give you aid in developing your skills. Get involved in one of the Campaigns like "Dreadnoughts" (for Battleships) or any of the other great Campaigns going on. Just go to "Campaign Headquarters under Forums to learn what's there. Enjoy and be involved. By the way, what are you interested in??

Thanks Craig and everyone, it's good to hear from you
And Mike, my interest is, well, EVERYTHING!!! That is my problem- as you can gather I talked to Craig at nationals about figure painting, and talked to General Zod about tanks and sanding seam lines, etc. etc...
After several years of on and off modeling i still haven't found an area i really am a sucker for-I simply like it all!! I will say that almost everything i build/paint is military in nature, having only done 1 car model (a chevy corvette that raced in one of the Le Mans races). As soon as i get back home in a couple of days from visiting some family i will try and post some pics.
thanks again for your interest, cap

Welcome aboard Andrew. I envy your trip to nationals, and also meeting some of the Armorama folks there. This site is so far from being just for hard core modelers it's not funny.
