there is a lot to see in the Ardennes:
a King Tiger in La Gleize (+ museum)
http://www.december44.com
Hetzer, m-10, and a Sherman at the best museum in BAstogne: Bastogne historical center..., shermans (lots of it everywhere around the town) .
www.bastognehistoricalcenter.be (site is down for the moment)
Actually in Bastogne center you also have a few very small but still nice private owned museums. (can't recall the name)
Authentic foxholes of 101 airborne in the woods of Foy.
A nice Panther tank in Houffalize
A museum in Poteau with some tanks and halftracks (you can take a ride in an german sdkfz 251!!!
http://www.museum-poteau44.be/
the museum in Diekirch (apparently about the best museum in europe , judging the reviews i read
http://www.nat-military-museum.lu/
in brussels:
royal army and military museum:
link: http://www.klm-mra.be/
and if he gets the change to visit flanders: Ieper, Zonnebeke, Diksmuide are packed with remains of trenches, bunkers, dugouts, museums, cemetaries..... you just got to take your time and find them... and feel the silence around the old battlefields of world war one....

When he's around Arnhem, he must pay a visit to the airborne museum in the Hartenstein Hotel at Oosterbeek. In september 1944 the hotel was the divisional HQ of the british airbornes.
Airborne Museum
and ofcourse he must pay a visit to the Arnhem Bridge that was vital during Market Garden.
I advice him to walk "The Perimeter Route", that starts and finishes at the Hartenstein Hotel. It's a 5 km walk leading you through the 1944 Perimeter...
