Hi
I currently have a testors glue with the plastic precision tip on it
Its really crappy cuz the glue dries inside the precision tip and i have to clean it out every time i reuse it. Also, it is very hard to glue small parts together because the precision tip is not that precise!!!!! The hole on the precision tip is pretty large!!!!
Could anyone tell me where i can get a very precise glue tip?

I recommend using liquid glue. No matter how small of a tip you get, you will still get a dot of glue. With liquid, all you do is hold the parts together and touch the brush to them and capillary action draws the glue in. No mess and no glue residue or blobs to worry about. I only use liquid glue.

hi there.i had the same problem as you have,i now glue these parts with a superglue that has a brush on the cap of the bottle.it works for me so far,you can also put some glue on the tip of a X-acto blade and then apply to the parts.hope this helps.

For precision Hypo needles are probably top of the mark. They do require cleaning after every use and may be hard to come by, as they are "controlled" here.

When I use testors glue, which is often, I use the liquid type in the bottle with the long metal tube applicator. I use an old yogurt cap and squirt some on that and transfer to the part with a toothpick.
Hope this helps

Tenex is good, as is Testors and Tamiya. I actually make my own by squeezing Testors tube glue into an old Tenex bottle and filling the rest of the bottle with Lacquer Thinner. Shake well and you have liquid glue. Not too scientific, but it works for me. I have been mixing my own for years now. Works great.

Don't know about Ingenious, I just got sick of constantly buying liquid glue (since it evaporates so quickly) and I couln't find any at the local hobby shop for a while. So I experimented.
Thanks though, I'm here to help.

I use regular superglue with the longneck bottle. I haven't had any problems with it, and I pick it up in the checkout isle when I go food shopping. :-)

I use Faller. Some people don't seem to care for it, but I never have problems with it. If the needle applicator gums up I just pass it over a flame and I'm back in business.

I use Testors, but only put a small amount into a clear plastic tray (like the Testors paint brush packaging) and use a small brad to deliver the glue under control. This way, the only glue that dries up is what I don't want to use.

I have to agree with CRS about using a needle.
There not that hard to find if you know where to look.
I ordered mine from a taxidermy catalog.

Don't know the volume, the label came off long ago. It is about 1 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" tall with a 1/2" diameter cap. I would guess it is about 2 ounces in volume.

I use Testors Liquid and have 3 diff size brushes with which to apply it. The brush in the bottle is nothing more than a kit-killer. I use #4, #1, & #00 brushes, with the former trimmed at the tip to give me a square & stiff brush.
For CA, I have the glass tube applicators, but usually revert to wood toothpicks -- they are quicker & easier. Put a drop on the table, dip the toothpick to get what I want & apply -- then wipe up the drop on the table before I stick my arm in it ... (Note I has waxpaper cover over that part of table, so glue does not stick to anything).

Sorry, no exact mix ratio. I have just figured out what looks right and work. I just squirt in the tube glue and add the lacquer thinner. Sorry I can't be more specific, but that is all I do.

Which means:
-- the glue won't hold, or
-- the glue will hold, or
-- mankind will be wiped out ...
:-) :-) :-) Good Luck !!!

i use tamiya superfine glue for the fien brush, and then i got some of the regular glue... i just wanted a nice little brush for small pieces... i dont care much how thinned the glue is. And the price difference is incredible. i also bought model master cement things 2 bucks at walmart so i let some leak on my desk and find a way to aply it lol... i also bought humbrol glue with metal aplicator... very good glue but the metal aplicator gets stuck to the cap and clogs, so i use a lighter to unclog... be carefully, i almost made the thing burst in flames lmao
