Charles Chibitty a Comanche Code Talker from WWII, and the last of the Comanche's so designated has passed away at age 83 in Oklahoma.

Although not as well know as the Navajo Code Talkers, made famous in the film Wind Talkers, a number of Comanche's were recruited by the US Army to convey messages in their native tounge, a "code" unbreakable by the Nazis.

Chilbitty served with distinction throughout the European Theater of Operations. In 1999 Chibitty received the Knowlton Award, recognizing outstanding intelligence work during WWII.

The last of his kind, now off to the happy hunting grounds.

Heard about that today, interesting, yet tragic news. Their code sure beat the enigma out
