It has taken 5 weeks to find the time (or inclination ) ..to finnish the beastie ...any way had to do it for club meet--...got to be weathered yet and "based"

Another fantastic creation Steve. I really like these big shovels. I also enjoy the in progress photos showing us the steps in producing these beasts. Thanks for showing us. Bravo and three cheers

Wow! This is simply amazing. The fact that you did all of the construction in one month and that it all works is unbelievable! How did you make the boom ant other parts lift in the air without any support? Does the paint on the hydraulic "pistons/shafts" wear out? This always happens to me when I try to make a working cylinder.

Paul............it don't work all the time----Tip:-
Paint the pistons first and varnish.......then fit with a smear of "gloop"......have the cylinders in closed position on first couple of overall spray coats....open cylinders(piston out)...then finish .....wipe off excess gloop when painting finnished....should be good for ages
