Hello dear people,

I might not be able to post as frequently as now in the next few months.

The reason is that I have realized that I was a bum....

Hehehe....I'm kidding. The real reason is that I am planning to migrate to New Zealand. I can't realize my full potential and the full rewards in my own troubled country. I can't see my future for me and my future family here.

I was able to pass their Assessment test. I have been placing my resume on job sites and I got quite a few people who are willing to help (no offers yet). I heard that one of my cousins, who is now a successful finance officer in a company in the US, will be assigned to administrate a branch in New Zealand. One of my friend's friend has a cousin workign in the New Zealand Immigration Service. I have saved almost half a million pesos and this could help in financing my immigration processing.

As you can see, things are getting a little brighter for my dream of finally living and working abroad. My target is to go to NZ in a year or two.

I'll be focusing on this from now on. That means, I might not have enough time to post on forums.

But I will be visiting Armorama from time to time. I wouldn't want to just disregard the people who made my modeling life the way it is now.

And no, I will not stop modeling.

Take care.

Angela

Funny... I was just mentioning to the missus last night that we hadn't heard from you for a bit...

Best of luck with the migration... it's always a bit step picking up and moving... and moving countries is even bigger...

Keep in touch

Billy Conally recently did a TV show where he toured NZ. It looks a fantastic country to live in.

Good luck with your plans.

Angela,

That sounds really cool - the 1-2 year wait sounds like a challenge, but you sound charged-up and focused - good luck.

Hi Angela,

You did a very wise choice...good luck. BTW, are you the only one migrating?

Make sure that the place you would be staying in NZ will have a modeling shop near :-)

Cheers

Hi,

I am planning to be stay and work in Auckland. It's the largest city anyway and I'm a city girl.

Andy007, I'm more on customer service, marketing and creative writing. My love of writing and my previous/present job experience allows me to be versatile. I just hope that my skills are needed. Or else, my application for my Expression of Interest will be denied even if I passed the assessment.

Keenan, thanks for the good luck but I think the Philippines need it more than I do with the endless politics, graft and corruption, negative culture and the inadherence to the rule of law right now. It is severely affecting the economy and the way of life.

Warthog, i think getting out of the Philippines a MUST unless if you are living in the laps of wealthy and powerful politicians and cronies. Hindi ko na masikmura ang kalokohan ng gobyerno. Walang mangyayaring mabuti dito, eh. Hopeless na dito talaga. (I can't take the stupidity of the government. There's nothing for me here. It's really hopeless).

I'm proud to be a Filipina but with the state of our nation, I don't know if I can vouch for that pride.

Tarok, Grumpyoldman, Hwa-Rang, Vic, Vadster, Jurjen, Mojo, Cuhail, thank you for the support and the encouragement. It's still a long way though and there are a lot of things that can go wrong. i'll just take it one step at a time.

Angela
