Nope, but our local modelers will check all the flea markets here and few neighbour countries modeles asociations are alarmed, no one steals 900 boxes of kits for himself, they will try to sell it somewhere...
only problem is if they sell it by taking the sprues out of the boxes and selling cheaper...

It's best to check e-bay aswell regularly, and/ or other online auction sites.
Indeed, no one steals 900 kits for himself ( well... no lol :-) :-) )
I at least hope the persons responsible will be caught, and some kits can be brought back.

Hi Mirko!
That's really a big blow to your LHS!
Check regularly ebay on items from Serbia - and also contact other Hobby Shops in the area for anyone trying to resell the items - a good possibily too!
I'll pay attention to those stickers - although I find it difficult to arrive at this part of Europe

Only problem with the stickers...they can easily come off by taking off the plastic (unless most kits in Europe don't have a plastic seal on them)
Anyway, if they were going to be sold at flea markets or on Ebay, that would be the easiest way to get rid of the incriminating evidence.
Thanks!

That's a shame, and the kind of thing that most LHS could not recover from. I'd be willing to bet they show up on ebay. I've often wondered how many ebay "deals" were "hot". I hope the kits are recovered.

Wow, Alan. That really isn't all that funny. Hope I'm not being offensive here and I have a really dry sense of humor, ask my wife, but I fail to see the humor in your Sabot comment.
Maybe it is just me...
Back on topic:
I hope the kits were insured because chances are they won't be recovered.

That stinks:( and we wonder why LHS's don't stick around
I agree with Snowhand, check ebay, look for complete kits without boxes, look for sellers shipping from that area, look for a new seller who has a lot of items and no feedback.
I check ebay just about everyday - I'll keep my eyes open.

Very sorry about this crime. Not at all on par with your loss, but I had a dozen +/- build display models stolen from a closing hobbyshop years ago--but my livelyhood didn't depend on it.
I hope they are caught, all your kits recovered, and they are harshly punished

Well Alan, I thought your remark was kinda cute. There is not a person here who would even remotely suspect Rob is not a man of total honor.
My scout troop just took a tremendous hit late last week . Our trailer full of all our camping gear was stolen. So I am in definite sympathy and hope your rat bastards are caught as well as ours.

well we just got some great news. in my earlier post I told that our boy scout troop trailer with all our camping gear had been stolen. we had it mentioned on one of the local TV news channels here in Dallas. Today we got a call from Lockheed Martin plant here in Grand Praire to give us $7200 to replace the whole ball of wax. That is just incredible good news for us, as our old trailer is robably in Mexico now. We also have a local trailer company giving us a super discount and is going to give us a great rate and paint it up pprofessionally with our troop markings whcih will help prevent it rom being stolen too. We also plan to get it put in a fenced area on the church property , so this is great news. I hope the hobby shop gets good news as well.

I had never really thought about model kit theft. I wonder if this happens often.
