Hi Jeroen,

In the kits that I have that included PE from Dragon, the instructions on the use of the PE was included in the instruction manual where the parts were to be utilized. The instructions might say that you have an option for the plastic part to be replaced by the PE.

What kit are you working on anyway. Then I might be able to help better.

HTH
Regards
Matt

Photo etched parts aren't that scary. You just bend 'em and glue 'em (simply). Look at the picture and bend the part to the shape, check the fit on the model adjust part if necessary, check again and then usesuper glue to put part on. No big mystery. Sometimes you cut away somethig on the kit to replace. JUst have a good idea what and how you want to go about removing the kit part. PLAN PLAN AGAIN CHECK AND EXECUTE. JUst like with a regular plastic part.

That's the only way to do it Bro. One step at a time. Get comfortable with what you are doing, and then push a little further the next time. More ofter than not on Armor all I do is add screens. I like bent fenders, so I use those a lot as well. I do ships so I learned how to use the little parts while building them.
