The dio where the half-track pulls the 88 onto the transporter plane is sooooo cool. Is there anywhere where I could see more photos of that!

Steve,
Wow. Thanks for sharing those. I have never seen anyone post images from there before now. If you'd like I can post them to the main gallery. Just send the images to [email protected].

That German cargo plane looked really interesting. Is that a fictional build or did they actually have a plane like that??

Cheers,
Jim

Jim,

Sure, I love to post the pictures to the address you have given.
And yes, the models over there are amazing. I'm not sure if the plane is a fictional or not, but in my opinion I don't think so.

Yes, Jim they did have a plane like this, I don't have the model number on hand, but I am sure the winged guys here can help out. I think it was also used in operation in Russia or something...

Guys, that plane is a Messerschmitt Me 323 "Gigant". It was the powered version of the earlier Me 321 glider! Some were used for resupply missions in Russia and Tunisia. Italeri made kits of both to 1/72 scale which had wingspans of 30 inches. If that model is to 1/35 scale, it would have a span of about 5 FEET!!!!!

Hi Jim,

After I zipped the pictures and the size is about 8MB. I don't think I can email to your account in one go, right? Any other way I can submit to you at one go?

Great job, and thanks for sharing. I have a question on buying models in Japan. Are they much cheaper there than here? I have a brother that goes back there a couple times a year, I may have him stock up if he can get me a bunch for less money.

Hi Drewgimpy,

Here is the answer for your question "NO", models in Japan is not cheap at all unless you wanna get something you cannot find in your area.
By the way, I've visited many hobby shops in the US, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, Hong Kong is the place you can get the cheapest models. I and Dave(SS74)would like to help if anyone wanna get some models here in Hong Kong., just leave us a message.

Is it because most of the Japanese modelling factories are not located in Japan? We have a Tamiya factory right beside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Most of the Tamiya kits I have were made there. Academy also has a factory in Cavite, a few kilometers from Manila. Academy is Korean though

Jeepney,

I think it might be the TAX.
I would like to know how much for the Tamiya "Pershing" in your country, Philiphine?
