OK,here's what I got.Yesterday I did some quick resin pours for a couple of half-thumb size parts.Did the mix by eye and probably wasn't too NASA accurate,Anyway, the plugs are still slightly tacky(still in mold). Was wondering if I gave them a few short Nuke bursts in the ol' micro would fully cure them?De-mold first?Would cover with plastic bowl for shielding just in case. I used Micro Mark resin.
Anybody tried this?Am I a candidate for 'Jackass II,the web clip'?
Your thoughts please.

I think microwave ovens heat things by exciting the water molecules inside of whatever you are cooking. I don't think it would do anything to tacky resin. We pour an awful lot of plastics (resin) here at work and if it stays tacky well after the alloted cure time it probably means you didn't have the ratio right and it will never fully cure.

I had soft pour like that from bad mixing recently. I let sit for a while and they were still mushy. I'd be more concerned about damaging the mold than the poured parts.

Well,it didn't work.1000watt nuker,25second dose at high output,60second pause, then another 25 second burst.1 part swelled a little but stayed slightly tacky and rubbery.De-mold OK.#2 turned clear and liquified, slight bubbling.when cooled it was like fresh chewed gum .De-mold OK.
Ah,science!!

Be of good cheer. I had this happen to me in 1991. The stuff finally set in 2005. :-)
