Today I received my copy of the latest work by one of my favorite historians, Harry Yeide. If you don't know who he is, he's written Steel Victory, about the US Army's independent armored battalions in WW2 Europe, and Tank Killers, which deals with US Tank Destroyer Battalions from North Africa to VE Day. His latest work, which came out a month or two ago, is The Longest Battle, which deals with the US's battles during the Siegfried Line Campaign.
Now for the good part. Thanks to eBay and a bit of luck, I was able to get the book for $0.99 plus shipping! 99 cents for Pete's sake!!!!! This makes all of the agrivation and annoyance that eBay and the folks who lurk there can cause worthwhile.
That's all. Nothing of true significance in the cosmos, but it sure made my day.
