Ciao everyone,
Thanks to God and all your thoughts and prayers that we really dodged a bullet on this one. I mean that....I thank each and everyone of you fine people for your kind words and prayers on our behalf. It was only the grace of God that this one took a turn and left us alone. The west side of Pensacola was spared, and while the east side received some wind damage and continues to suffer from power outages, the area entire is relieved that all is well.
Ciao cheyenne, I did not do anything stupid. I sat in Police HQ and watched the TV and guys play dominoes. The only damage, really, was the roof of the Police Dog kennel runs flew off. The dogs were already upstairs in shelter.
Ciao 007, thanks for the thoughts on our behalf. No wind surfing here, friend. The top speed of wind we had was maybe in the 80's, but only for very short bursts. This was definitely not Ivan (the last one that devasted us.)
Ciao phoenix-1, thanks for the best wishes and I am very familiar with Belfour. I will look for your father, and if I see him, strike up a conversation.
Ciao Merlin, thanks for the thoughts. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as the news made it sound. In fact, the storm was on our heads, and they were already lamenting the fact that two additional tropical systems lurk in the Atlantic.
Ciao Frank, we made it through, buddy. It is so weird around here. My property value has doubled in five years, yet we suffer from this weather threats. Only in Florida. Talk to you soon.
Ciao animal, thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. They must have helped out, because we made it through this one. I am telling you, we really dodged a bullet!!
Ciao ShermiesRule, thanks for the thoughts and good luck with this one! Hopefully, by the time it reaches you it will stop being a tropical storm (which it still was in Tennessee!!!)
Ciao keenan, thanks for the luck. We needed it (since we are still in the middle of reconstruction.) That sucker blasted up through Navarre Beach and continues to make trouble. I can only say thank God that it took that last minute dog leg.
Ciao Stormbringer, we all appreciate everyone's prayers and best wishes. Hmmmmm, your name is Dennis and your handle is "Stormbringer?" Makes me think...... :-)

Again, to everyone here and everywhere who lent support and thoughts to our well-being, I thank you. We were blessed to have been spared a truly potential time-bomb.

Now, back to modelling!!!!!
Ciao for now
Rob

Ciao everyone,
Oops, I that was a type-o. I meant that we were on vigilant watch, exposing ourselves to levels of danger that cannot be imagined.
Ciao for now
Rob

P.S. We forgot the donuts. (Sniff)

Glad to hear all is well. My sister in law lives in Orange Beach, AL and they escaped with zero damage. Forturnate for them, as they have just completed repairs from Ivan.

We got lots of rain with gusts of 50 mph, but no spin spin off tornadoes. We did work one house fire during the storm. Suffice it to say that with that amount of wind, it was like trying to put out a blow torch.
