I received a junk mail catalog yesterday, "Aviation Monthly" or something that carries mostly aviation books and art prints with a bit of space and die cast armor thrown in. Leafing through it I saw they had the new DML 88 kit for sale on the same page with a bunch of die cast armor. Nice little blurb about it being an accurate kit of the "dreaded 88." Last line of the description simply stated "Assembly required."
My first thought was, "That ain't no $%#..." I have the kit and it is a boxful to say the least. I wonder how many people will shell out the $35, get out the small screw driver to put the kit together get a real shock when they open the box...
"Assembly required" to say the very least...

Received the same catalog, saw the same thing. LOL

What caught my eye was the (I think) B-24 in bright yellow and polka-dots. Was a formation aircraft in WW2. That would make an interesting b-24 build.

That outfit has an aviation catalog, a train catalog, and probably a few others.

I've done a few orders from them & they always seem to be out of stock & issue a backorder. Then next catalog shows with same item advertised & no shipping forthcoming. I call & get the "oh, it just arrived" story and then the item shows.

I now look at what they have & order it elsewhere if I want it. In fact I once called 'em to get their source for a few items then went direct to the source.
