Hi guys,

I just bought Mr Mark Softer from Mr Hobby. It's used to set decals. How do i use it?

Do i apply it on the decal once the decal is dry? Or do i apply it when it's still wet?

Hello,

you have to apply Mr. Mark Softer on the still wet decal.
there are different methods of application:

1. you can apply the stuff directly on the model at the place where the decal shoul be placed.

2. you can first apply the decal and give it a thin overcoat of mr. mark softer.

if the decal tends to be fragile, it is a god idea to give it a thin overcoat of mr. mark softer.

i always use methode 1 of application. that works fine for me. once you applied mr. ms wait 5 to 10 minutes and then fix the decal with light pressure. i use a q-tip or tissue paper for that. but be care not to deform the decal, it can be very soft. to much pressure in the wrong direction will deform it.

You mean i can brush on Mr MS on the spot where i want the decal to be first? Then load on the decal?

You said wait until 5-10 mins before applying decal. Won't the spot already be dried up and rendering the Mr MS useless? Or do i have to put on a thick coat?

I think i'll try to put on the decal first then while decal is still wet, apply Mr MS.

Thanks alot Patrick!

Hello Danny, sry for the late reply. Yesterday evening, armorama seemed to be down:

Just a short clarification:

1. Apply the decal on the final position

2. Apply Mr. Mark Softer. I don't apply it to thick. Maybe the ratio you normally use glue. just a light overcoat. I also don't use the brush that came with the glass. I take a normal brush in respect to the size of the decal. The brush can be easily cleaned.

3. Wait 5 to 10 minutes to allow the decal to get "soft"

4. Bring the decal in it's final shape by uing light pressure.

I hope, that answers your questions. If not, don't hesitate to ask
