Here is the Esci's (Italeri reboxed) Panther A.

The tracks are horrible, with absolutely no details on the inside. The tools are oversized and difficult to fit but it is still a decent kit considering it's age.

I tried pre-shading on it but it's not that visible.

Left out the marking as i wanted this vehicle to be a generic panther.









Again, sorry about my photography skills. In person, the model has quite a some dust streaks. I guess if i wanna show it in the photos, i have to darken the streaks which would make it unrealistic, oh well.

This is 1/72? Not bad..Looks very nice..The rusted tracks looks real, what do u use? Is it the Gunze Rust?

Have to agree with Psyfool. You made the tracks look nice even though there isn't much details.

I always have problems trying to get the tracks to stay down (to look like it's heavy and rests on the roadwheels). Do you actually glue them down? How do you actually go about doing this?

For the tracks, well it isnt rubber band vinyl. It's those link and length tracks. Revell makes GREAT link-length with lots of details and they can be easily fixed together in place but this one... totally crap!

I did not use any 'rust' colours on the tracks. I painted the tracks with Tamiya's Flat Aluminium + Flat black (40-60 mix) then wash it with Flat Earth and after it dries, rubbed on some graphite.

OIC...Shd try your method to 'rust' the tracks of my DML Jagdtiger....

Ike, to hold the tracks down (the rubber type), i superglue them in place. After u glue, u roll some cardboard or paper and stuff it inbetween the top of the track and the underside of the tank to let the glue set...it takes some time as the rubber tracks can be a bit stubborn..

Yup.. those tracks are rather stubborn and won't stick that well.. Thanks for your tip Psyfool.

Ike, if the problem still persists. Try using white glue.

This one can 'fight' with the older Tamiya Panther A, tracks without any inner details, oversized turret, crappy tools but at least Esci got the roadwheels and some details right..

Oh well, old brands...For 5 bucks somemore..

BTW, hows your initial Tiger going? I actually wanted to start on it but i put it back down and started on the 3-in-1 halftrack (ausf D) instead...
