My continous whining about AMX-13 and SM-1 problem have attracted Mr Steve C (BARV) from UK. He has ask that we show him some picures of SM1 and our amx-13. The more details the better. He will then give us some opinion and he''ll attempt to make one. If he succeeds, i think we might want to follow
Here is the quote of his PM to me

Quoted Text

hello,
If you have very good detailed pics and a reasoable set of drawing it should be possible to build...................good -side-front-back and "top"shots are essenial as they may be the scale factor and of course some sizes ht-wdth-lnth
The challenge is to get enough info to get the little bits right........the build looks after itself..........What materiel do you have........
Would you like me to see it and givean opinion
aye
Steve C (BARV)

So i have invited Mr Steve C from Uk to our small forum. I think that we should give him as much info about SM-1 and as much photos that is possible. So come on Singapore, we got an ex WO2 to help us.

Hello,
I am honoured to be asked to join this forum.
To introduce myself may I say that my back-ground is that of an engineer who went into the army and has now retired.
50 + years of military modelling , now specialising in recovery -engineering vehicles with the odd tank -transporter ...............more than a few "scratch-built"

A few bits and pieces
As the AMX-13/SM-1 are not my normal area I may require a bit of time to collate the info needed.
Pics-measurements and any observations can be "e-mailed"---nothing is to small--every-thing helps
Again......My grateful thanks for the invitation,
aye,
BARV
