What is the best glue to meld pe parts and plastic. I find that I have cynocrylat glues but pe parts tend to fall off. Does a primed surface impede sticking? I am looking for something that give me time to glue parts togther but doesn't dry in 5 secs or 1 hour.

I use a medium consistency cyanoacrylate glue. It doesn't dry immediately, but does produce a good bond. I think your problem could be if you are sticking the PE onto an already primed model. You should put the PE on and then prime. That may answer your other question you had in another post, too. Glue sticks better to unpainted pieces.

Make sure your PE is free of any oil or release agents. The oil will affect the glue bond. I wipe my PE with a clean cotton ball and alcohol. Afterwards I will prime the PE with Tamiya paint and then have at it. No significant sticking problems so far.

I use green bottle Zap A Gap (reviewed by someone else here). Do you major assembly before painting. A spritz of accelerator cures this instantly but will create heat and may attack plastic. Don't use accelerator for stretched sprue and if you spray it, don't touch the palstic for a while. If you get a drop of superglue on opaque plastic, it can be easily scraped off twhen dry withth edge of a sharp #11 blade.
My main problem with super glue is getting the right amount for a small piece.
Well, that and the fact that it will cure fastest to surfaces you don't want it sticking to, e.g., fingers, tweezers, work surfaces.

I keep some accelerator in a amll med bottle cap and apply it with either a platic tootpich ora precision applicator. this way I don't need to mist accelerator allover.having your hull imobile and a good tweezer for the part will allow a hand free for applying accelerator.

I use BSI Maxi-cure. Works grat for me. Dries in about 20-30 seconds, so you have a little time to fine placemant of parts if you need to.
