Here is another conversion I completed during the past year. It is a Gaz 67/420 hardtop based on an actual prototype made in 1944 to create a cold-weather jeep program that never fully came to fruition. I used that old Tamiya Gaz 67B kit as a base. The roof was created via a balsa wood form placed in a vacuum former after the doors and walls were created using Plastistuct. The chassis was, like the real one, also extended behind the back seat for placement of a radio or other gear.
The Captain is a figure from Verlinden with an Alpine head and the female traffic officer is a conversion using the Tamiya female Russian tanker (at rest) as a base. I 1st switched out the Tamiya head for the Viet Cong girl from a Dragon kit. I then used Magic- sculpt to create the great coat and her hair and I used aluminum for the gear straps.
let me know what you guys think ...DREW

Great work !
The kit is nicely built, the conversion is done properly.. you can be proud !
Your figures look good too ! I'd like to be able to modify them the way you do ! Their positioning is very good.

I have only 2 very little nitpicks:
- the girl put too much lipstick for wartime USSR
- the chain on the front should be tighter : hanging that way to the groung it will easily get stuck on something
