Does anyone know the best way to shoot pics indoors? I'm using a Sony 3.2 cyber-shot on macro and when it's overcast I can get great light , but there isn't that many chances for that in summertime. I was thinking small flourescent desk lamps mixed with natural light from a window but am not sure ????????????? Any advice would be appreciated...DREW

I set a table in a dark corner, put my background from the table top upto the wall, I then put two white styrofoam boards on either edge of the table. I use 3 150 watt incandecent spots to light the model, and a tripod for the camera. I set the camera white balance to Incandecent and macro mode.

Thats about it. Here is a sample pic:

Hey John, that looks pretty good, actually just what I want. Are you setting the lights up in a triangle, for example, one in upper left, one in upper right and one right in front, behind camera??? I will have to experiment...It's just a drag when the pic on the LCD is nothing like what shows up on your monitor . Thanks for the tips........DREW

I also prefer a set-up like Sticky´s. You get a consistent picture all year round, and after a time, adjustments become second nature, like when its only a small figure or a darker coloured vehicle.
Every outdoor picture can be different depending on how bright the sun is, clouds etc.
Just my tupence worth!
