Is anyone else excited about this kit? :-) I've wanted one for a while now, and have kicked myself for not getting the Monogram (or was it Ertl?) kit a few years ago! I always thought the Ecto-1 was a really cool car, if for no other reason than the lights on top!
Since the model is inexpensive, at $11.99 MSRP, I'd get two to model both the Ecto-1 and Ecto-1a. (the cars of GhostBusters 1 & 2, respectively)

Here's a link to the StarShipModeler preview
Here's a link to the GhostBuster's Prop Archive

I know someone else has to be excited about this kit!

EDIT - shoulda said initailly that this is a snap kit...

I found a pretty cool comparison of the new Ecto kit to the old Ertl one.
Here it is
Now I really regret not picking up the old Ecto when I saw it way back when... ::::sigh:::: Time to start hunting on eBay!

Hey YM they neglected the fact that they were comparing the PL Ecto-1 which is from the first movie and the ERTL one which is from the second movie.Thats why the roof and some other things are completly different.
