With any luck, and a bit of money, I'd like to do Italeri's M977 HEMMT with a couple Pro Art detail sets.

Best of luck and a speedy return home as you finish your tour.

EDIT I am scratching the above and replacing it with a Tamiya M1A1HC and PE.

Just picked up Dragon's M1 Panther II Mine Detection and Clearing Vehicle. Several reviews I have seen of this kit are very very complimentary. The kit contains 530 parts, rendered non slip surfaces, correct engine deck grill patterns, rear panel portrayed open or closed, and a fully functional mine roller assembly. Looking forward to this one.

Hi Carlton,
Good to hear all is well and I too hope you have a safe return.
I am planning on doing a Humvee with some special markings (I have work out how I am going to do them first lol) If I can't get the right decals. I will do the average Humvee.

Lord toad,

I am glad to hear from you that all is well!

I think I perhaps doing either of the following:

either a Bradley from Tamiya
or an AV-8B from Hasegawa

or if I have no time, I probably go with an easy Hummer.

take care, bro!

Well I guess I'll get in on the act as well. I was up at BIAP - ( Baghdad International Airport ) at the big PX a few days ago . There are a few AC kits on the back shelf . One of them is the Italeri F-16 cockpit in 1:12 scale , so I picked it up and that will be my entry for this build . I'll do what i can over here and finish up when I get home . I'll try and post a few pics when I get the chance .

Folks
As both the Italeri Hummers I have here are the older versions with the body mounted mirrors I've been out and got the Tamiya M1025 Humvee armament carrier in the hope that this one will be more appropriate for this build.

It very much is. The only thing, since it is Tamiya's M1025 version, get Tamiya's Modern Accessories kit. It contains CIP panels specifically for their Humvee. They work great and give it the OIF look.
