Hi Guyz! I've started on another dio (see pic). I want to submerge a part of the Su in some murky swamp water. Anyone knows how to make water? I heard it uses resin. Where do I get it and how to use it? Hope u can help me out. Thanx!

O.K. First of all, how do I actually attach photos? Pls provide me w/ a step by step instruction. I'm a bit lame at computer stuff. U can see my upcoming dio in my gallery. Only one photo, the one with the Stug and Su. U have any idea how to make water? I want to try the resin stuff, in Singapore context, where can I get it?

Bingo! I tink that's the resin thingy I'm looking for. The $20+ one is a bit too ex. Probably I'll go for the $5+ one since I'm experimenting anyway. Btw, I don't know where this Tiong Baru shop is. Can provide me some directions? open on Sundays? I'll update u guys on the water experiment once done.

Yeah..I juz read it. It looks cool how the guy managed to make the splash effect, in 1/72!!...However, there will be no splashes in my dio. Just dirty, murky, stagnant water. For info, I went to Tiong Baru Plaza just now (first time) and the shop is quite well stocked up. I got the WS E-Z water resin at $20.90. A bit ex but I guess it can last for a few dios. Can't wait to try it out...Hope it turns out alright!

My dio is about 95% complete. The water is done. It looks decent enuff for a first try...Does gives the effect of murky water...But I tink the water is a bit too still..I was too preoccupied with getting the liquid resin to flow in between the gaps correctly to worry about getting some waves on the water. By the time I'm satisfied that the resin has covered all the nooks and crannies, it has already started to harden! Luckily I remembered to add debris such as twigs and "fallen leaves" into the 'water' to give it a more realistic feel. I'll post the photos soon once it's 100% complete.

Try not to buy such things as these can be found easily. Just walk around the park or something and u'll be able to find some fine twigs and branches that can pass off as 1/35 scale twigs & branches. The thicker twigs can be used to represent tree trunks. As for leaves, I used the plant from flower bouquets. If u've been to Thailand or Malaysia, they have these souvernirs which are branches made into pencils with Malaysia or Thailand written on it. These can pass off as excellent trees, similar looking to the trees found in the Ardennes forest based on photos. I used them in my dio b4.

I/18? Is the size something like the 1/16 DML scale figures? I never painted for someone b4 so I might be a little worried it may not turn out nice. Less pressure if it's my own one....but if u really want, i can have a go at it...

:-) Eerie.. way to go man.! I think Psyfool and Danny are the best people to ask. Their builds always look great. Do show us how it turns out when it's done. Oh.. thanks for the tip Mr Psyfool. When I go jogging by the park, I'll try keeping an eye out for these things. But how are you going to 'preserve' them? haha..

Oh..That's a very good point. Never really thought about it. I tink u better make sure the branches/ twigs u pick up don't have a colony of termites in it! It'll eat ur 'trees' up and probably your workbench too!! :-) So far, I don't have such problems. Let's see in 5yrs time, wat will happen to the 'trees' in my dios!!

Aiyah...We are all learning. Just takes practice. I don't tink I can get the faces rite all the time anyhow. As i said, sometimes still trial & error....

Eerie, still want to get your FJ heads painted by me? :-)
