Here are some shots of the dragon's head. It took me about six hours yesterday to cover this amount of the head. I like the concept of using strips of white glue and water soaked newspaper at first, because of the texture of the skin. However, when they dried the strips buckled in a couple of spots a left holes that need to be filled. I painted it again to get an idea what it will look like. I think onvce I get it covered and then go back in with an airbrush to paint in highlights, shadows, and details the overall problems with it will not be so noticable.

What do you guys think?
Steve

In retrospect, I wish I could have thought of somthing that softened the edges so that they weren't so squared off.

Live and learn I guess.

Hope nobody thinks this is too artsy-crafty. I really am trying to approach this as a model.

Looking good Steven. That library sure benefits from your talents. How big will the finished dragon be?

Overall problems!? I can't see any problems!

It seriously looks fantastic...I love the look of the skin...that shade of green is perfect.

Please keep us posted,
Eddie

Well, It's only a partial dragon....sort of.

It's a tail and a neck and head that will be snaking into a cave opening in one wall and coming out a cave opening in another and peering down upon the check out desk.. However, tail, neck, and head total length is about 20 feet.

I really love doing things like this. It's fun. (keeps me young and un-jaded) It's why I love my job eventhough I make chicken feed doing it.

Thanks guys, glad everyone likes it
