Hi Guys. well in the past few days I have had new benches made up for my model room. Mainly due to me getting a new electric power wheelchair I could not get under the old ones so a revamp was necessary.

All these boxes on the top shelf are spare parts for my models.

and last of all me and the new chair

cheers
Cliff

There'll be no stopping you now Cliff - 30mph around that room! With that reorganised space you'll be turning the stuff out like the clappers..............

Well thats a nice 1/1 scale Dio Mister. Some nitpicking though .

1) In the 3d pic is clearly shown that the painting on the benche's legs is not well finished and need some outlining,

2) The 16 Tamiya LRDG kits that u stock, do not clearly show in the pictures, so some detail in the dio is hiding .

3) The right curtain sheet on the first pic is released while the left is tight up. Fix that please

4)There is not enough dirtying - weathering on the white cloth on the bench on pics 1-2

5)The measuring tape is irrelevant , inthe spot it is putted.

6)Your walls are pretty empty. Need some pictures or propaganda posters. Or even a collage of all LRDG boxarts u have used in all ur life.

7)The figure of the last oics need some more contrast on clothing and highlights on hands.

8)The wheels of the vehicle are pretty clean.

9) No exhaust smoke signs also anywhere.

10) Finally I think u have a nice dio there but i dont see no base of it.

I wish that with all above comments i helped u to improve ur dio and get some medal in next competition.

If any more help needed , please dont hesitate.

Your good friend

Nice workbench....looks like a seperate hobby room

Gotta get myself a such hobby room as well cause now I do everything on my 0.6m x 1.0m desk which is way to small and also houses my computer monitor, compressor, 2 speakers and some other stuff lol.
But I cannot go to our big living room cause my family keeps complaining about the smell I create with my paints, thinners, white spirit etc :-) :-)

Good luck on your modelling!

Ahhh, now the mystery of where Cliff is during his chats on the chat room is shown!Since these have only recently been finished,it is good to see you have cluttered them up properly with upcoming projects.Looking at the arms on your chair,I bet you could get some kind of tray to clip on it,and drive out to the fresh air,and do a bit of Alfresco kit bashing...

Thanks, Cliff.
I was wondering how I was going to set up the wheelchair access to my bench for my daughter ,who is handicapped. She is always wanting to build something at my bench, but, her power chair is also a little tall to fit and I have to put her in a regular chair.
I, for one, have a total understanding of wheelchair access issues and I'm glad you worked it out!

Howdy Cliff,

Congrat's on the new 'uptown' look to your new modeling workbench!......look's quite comfy.

There are many things I like about your new set-up, including the air conditioner sitting right in front of you, as I can only imagine it gets pretty hot out there in the land of Oz....
I also like your small, elevated table-top work surface (if that's what it is....). I have one similar to it, but mine is mounted to a 9-inch diameter gimble so that I can spin it around for easy access.
I must say, I am a little shocked by the absence of any trucks displayed in some form of assembly...... ........but then, maybe they're top secret or something.

Finally, I see you have a handy ' mood ' adjustment tool within handy reach for when those darn parts have to be coaxed into place...{the hammer} :-)

Your room look's great pard'.

Tread.

Oh, BTW........nice woolies on your lower paws....

Looking good Cliff. I finally graduated to an actual work desk that will be dedicated to my model building. Cost me a grand total of $20 at a local flea market (second hand store) and a $3 can of polyurethane stain has made it look acceptable to my wife.

Cliff

Great job on the revamp. Glad to see you have the power chair - I know how difficult it is to get them here.

One of our barristers here has just graduated to a powered chair and now we are trying to get all the bar tables in the court rooms raised 5 inches so he can fit under them. As if life isn't difficult enough as it is.

I missed the truck display case/shelves in the photos.

Same here, but I asume they are covering all the walls in the rest of Cliffs house :-)

Looks like a great workroom Cliff. I envy you because I only use the dinertable, and with 3 kids I always have to clean that table up.
Think I'm gonna rebuild my garage once...

Ola Cliff

Well well that is a nice modelling room and I see you got yourself a brandnew 6 wheel SUV for cruising around the Downunder area. It is good to have a place completely and only for modeling I`m happy enough to always have had a place like that.

Looks good... the perfect set up for masterpieces which we all can expect very soon I guess

Nice chair Cliff. I hope to get one of those soon. Your room is nice and bright. Are you able to get around the house ok with the new chair? What type is it.

Cliff, I must admit that, when I read the first line of this post, I expected to see you sitting in the back of a restored allied WWII shop van of some sort. :-) But it looks great as it is. Looks like you have everything handy. All you need is a cooler for the beer. I like your scooter. Just got a new one for my Mom. But she keeps leaving tire skid marks on the kitchen floor from when she tries to get from 0 to 60 in 30 seconds. :-) Did I read recently where you might try to produce another Roo Resin kit this year? I hope so. I'd certainly look forward to a new Roo masterpiece.

Guys thanks for the comments. I will try and answer questions here.

My Woolies
My feet swell for no appearant reason so shoes/boots are out for me. Around home I wear these home made wool slippers and when out I wear a pair of slippers with rubber soles. During summer it is bare feet.

raised bench piece
yes Tread this is where I work and it does swing around to stand out from the table. The white cloth is like a bib that I place around my neck to catch pieces if I drop them as it is a real pain to get out of the chair and down to floor level to get the parts. Or to be more accurate it is easy to get down and real hard to get back up again. :-)

no trucks on display
There is no completed models of mine on display in the house. They are all packed away in either dust proof boxes or containers. In about 4 weeks hopefully they will all be on display at the local museum permanently, although I have two displays to take them too before hand.

Access to rest of house
Yes Dave I can get around the rest of the house OK. It does take more room to drive this one around but it is OK. All the floors except our bedroom are lino so I don't rip up the carpet. :-) The bathroom is a disabled shower room so no probs there either.

The chair
it is a 'Jazzy 1121'. It will climb a two inch step and has a top speed of 8 KPH. And believe me when I say 8KPH sitting in this chair is bloody fast!. :-) It also has a range of about 30K in very hilly Gympie on a full charge. I just plug it into the wall at night to charge while I am asleep.

Roo Resin kits
Yes I will be trying to release two new resin conversion kits for the Tamiya GMC kit (short wheel base conversion (with new chassis) and hard cab conversion with full firewall and seperate bonnet (Hood)) and re-release the radio/command body for the Tamiya GMC kit before Christmas this year. No promises but I will hopefully get them done. They will not be under the name of Roo Resin but under my own name so I do not have to part out money to re-register the Roo Resin name.

Cheers
Cliff
