i have been making models for about two years ,but when it came to rifles i couldnt make straps ,i was told to use foil ,so i tried making them with foil .what a result u can shape them into positon then paint them.just hope this can help other people, so happy straping

I've also heard that you can use the floppy part of a floppy disk for the same purposes.

Never done it myself, but how about using some Tamiya (or other maker) masking tape.
I've used it for seat belts on aircraft, maybe it might work for rifle slings.......

I'm with Doug! Masking tape Can (I also never tryed, but I've seen it used) be a solution for those who don't like/ aren't able to use foil!

I usually use painted post-it notes. A technique I learned from Jim Lewis (Guntruck).

The look like leather and they take a natural looking bend if you are careful.
